As an animal lover, visiting the Monkey Forest in Ubud was one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. The place has well over 600 Balinese long-tailed monkeys that seem to ignore the tourists and go about their business as if we weren’t there.
It was incredible to see groups of monkeys in their natural habitat, playing, eating, cleaning each other and taking care of their babies. If you ever find yourself in Bali, it’s definitely worth the drive to this monkey sanctuary.
