Bodrum, Turkey

Day four of my cruise took me to Bodrum and our first stop in Turkey. I’ve never been to Turkey before, but I already want to go back. When we pulled up to the port, I saw a castle (of course) and was told there is a wonderful Museum of Underwater Archaeology. I passed on both and instead spent the day at a spectacular hotel – Kempinksi Hotel at Barbaros Bay — about a 25-minute drive away.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It has its own bay and private beach and expansive infinity pools. The staff could not be nicer, the food was delicious and I spent a relaxing day being pampered at their spa…which included a Turkish bath.
