A Magical Baby Shower for a Baby in Bloom

There are certain days in life that feel like pure magic—where love, laughter, and a touch of the extraordinary come together to create memories you’ll cherish forever. My baby shower for our sweet little girl, who is due at the end of March, was one of those days.

After two days of rain, the clouds parted, and we were blessed with the most beautiful Saturday afternoon filled with sunshine. Surrounded by my closest family and friends, we celebrated this special chapter of my life with an afternoon tea party, where shades of pink set the scene for a day I’ll never forget.

The vision came to life thanks to my dream team, who curated every detail with love and care:

Planning & Design: @DetailsChristine

Florals & Décor: @BloomingBlissDesign

Desserts: @CinderellaCakes

From the moment our guests arrived, they were welcomed into a world of soft pastels, delicate florals, and whimsical touches. There was a flower cart where people could create their own bouquets to take home, a pink teacup wall for guests who wanted a spot of tea, and a bar with signature cocktails (Pink Preggy Punch – a mocktail for the sober ones and mama-to-be, Veuve Cliquot Champagne – Rosé of course –  and Baby Pink Cosmos with vodka) to choose from.

The sweetness of the day extended to the dessert table, where @CinderellaCakes created an array of treats almost too beautiful to eat. There were cake pops, pastel macarons, and mini cupcakes and every bite was a delight. I’m pretty sure each of our guests left with their hearts full and taste buds happy.

One of the most special moments came as the day drew to a close. Just when we thought the afternoon couldn’t get any more magical, a rainbow – almost shaped like a heart – appeared in the sky far off in the distance. Tears flowed from all of my guests who knew my mom and multiple people approached me saying, “That’s your mom! Momma Chan is making a guest appearance!). It was a reminder that even though some loved ones are no longer physically with us, their spirit and love remain ever-present.

Through every hug, laugh, and tear, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. This baby girl is already so loved, and I am endlessly thankful for the community of women and men(!) who gathered to celebrate her upcoming arrival. To my incredible team who brought this vision to life—thank you for creating a day that was as beautiful as it was meaningful.

As I look ahead to meeting our little one, I carry with me the love and blessings of this unforgettable day. And if that rainbow was any sign, I know Momma Chan (plus my dad, Tom), will always be watching over us, cheering us along, every step of the way.

Here’s to the beauty of new beginnings and the power of love that transcends generations.

I can’t wait to share more of this journey with you all.
