Luis asked Liberté to marry him on October 2, 2020, exactly one year to the day of their first date. The couple lives in Los Angeles and can’t wait to tie the knot in October 2021.

Luis is a proud father of three children. Liberté adores and loves them.

Professionally, Luis has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years. He is a partner and wealth advisor at Octavia Wealth Advisors, a firm he helped launch in June 2020.

He was born and raised in Peru and while Spanish is his first language, he learned to speak English in elementary school. He competed in tennis as a teenager and represented Peru in several countries. He was a member of the varsity tennis team at Ohio State. Today, he is still a die-hard Buckeye fan and plays tennis for fun. He majored in Economics and Financial Services and is a huge believer in the three P’s: Passion, Purpose, and Perseverance.

Luis taught finance, statistics, and insurance courses while pursuing his graduate degree and says, “I learned from my students and clients that financial issues can be confusing and complicated. I plan to use these posts to simplify money matters and help you make sense of it all.”

Luis is a strong believer in attaining higher skill levels to better serve clients and holds the following professional credentials: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Charter Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), Accredited Divorce Financial Analyst™ (ADFA), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®).
