The holiday shopping season is here, but before you hit the mall or go online to your favorite shopping site, how about purchasing something with a purpose? I just learned about BluBond, an e-commerce site that features up-and-coming designers and brands that help raise awareness and funds for charitable causes.
One of the sites new voices is Jasmine Dustin, a model/actress who can be seen in top TV shows such as CSI Miami and “Being Mary Jane” on BET. Jasmine is one of a handful of voices from the entertainment industry who are featured on the site… voices who lend their name and time to philanthropic causes.
How does it work? You simply shop and buy super cute items and a significant portion of the sale is donated to a specific charity. For Jasmine, that charity is Cause4Paws, a non-profit she started to help homeless animals and their owners who live on the streets of Los Angeles. Jasmine’s collection of items includes jewelry, sunglasses, lingerie and handbags.
