5 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES If you love choco 5 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES

If you love chocolate as much as me, you have to try these!

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts showing brownie bites and truffles using healthier ingredients than the traditional ones, so of course I had to try them…honestly these did not disappoint, they are DELICIOUS!

Plus, they’re vegan, gluten-free, nut-free and so easy to make.

My husband has already requested seconds because this first batch was gone in 48 hours 🙊

INGREDIENTS ⁣
⁣
- 10 dates dates⁣
- 1 cup oat flour⁣
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder⁣
- 1-2 tbsp hemp seeds
- 4 ounces melted chocolate (I used mini chips from @enjoylifefoods
⁣

METHOD⁣
⁣
- I soaked my dates in hot water for 5 minutes before placing them in the food processor because they were a little hard after I took them out of the fridge

- Place all the ingredients in a food processor and turn on to create a nice truffle batter

- Roll into balls
- Dip in chocolate
- Refrigerate until set

ENJOY!

If there was one thing I learned from my interior If there was one thing I learned from my interior designer mom, it was to use fresh flowers in every room of the house.

Fresh flowers change the vibe and honestly, they just make me happy.

Just bought two of these rectangle vases and they’ve elevated my flower game. They make it look like I hired a professional!

Who else loves decorating with fresh flowers?

I was recently told that I need to spend more time in the water…the ocean, the pool or even the bath. Why? It’s healing and therapeutic, lowers stress and helping you relax.

4 things I wish I knew in my 20s when I was trying 4 things I wish I knew in my 20s when I was trying to lose weight:

1️⃣ Lift Weights

Even though weight training doesn’t typically burn as many calories as a cardio workout, it has other benefits that aids in weight loss. Since lifting weights builds more muscle than cardio, and muscle burns more calories at rest, building muscle is key to boosting your resting metabolism.

I did not pick up a weight until I was in my 30s. I was a cardio queen and would spin and run my a** off. Even though I spent more time working out, I was heavier back then and couldn’t see my abs. Nowadays, I do less cardio and more weight training and surprisingly, I look way more toned and defined.

2️⃣ Intermittent Fast

There are so many benefits to IF, one of which is ketosis; when you burn fat instead of glucose/carbs for energy. Adding a 16:8 intermittent fast to my wellness routine was a game changer. My body leaned out and I feel much better when I stop eating by 7pm or 8pm and don’t eat anything until 11am or noon the next day.

3️⃣ Eat more protein.

When I eat ample amounts of protein before anything else, I find that I don’t get super hungry later in the day and I automatically end up reducing my calorie consumption with little to no effort.

It makes sense since a high protein diet increases levels of satiety hormones, so you tend to feel satisfied…and eat less! Plus, protein helps prevent glucose spikes, which you want to avoid for many reasons, including the one below…

4️⃣ Glucose spikes can cause cravings.

Ever get stuck on that vicious cycle of eating carbs in the morning and then craving more and more carbs throughout the day? Yeah, me too… One easy hack to prevent glucose spikes after a meal is to eat veggies first! Second thing that should be consumed: protein and fats. Lastly, eat your simple carbohydrates at the end of the meal (like bread and rice)…studies show it can reduce glucose spikes up to 75%!

I love coffee in the morning, but after 11am, I cu I love coffee in the morning, but after 11am, I cut off caffeine consumption. If I need an extra boost later in the day, I take one of these five items below, which don’t contain caffeine, but they do help with energy:

1️⃣ Maca
2️⃣ Algae
3️⃣ MCT oil
4️⃣ AG1 @drinkag1
5️⃣ Cordyceps

Share this with someone who wants to find a caffeine-free energy boost!
