If you’re like me and love to create festive tablescapes during the holiday season, there are a few things you should think about before you head to go shopping.
I recently spent the afternoon with the Interior designer, Ania Agardy who says, “You want to express yourself, be creative, and make it full, but not busy.”
Agardy took me through the process at her home in Miami and surprisingly, all of the items were reasonably priced and purchased at Home Goods and Michael’s.
1. Choose a color palette (it’s a good idea to choose colors that blend with your house)
2. Choose a theme (the images below show two different themes; a forest theme and a minimalist coastal theme)
3. Find items with varying heights
4. Use something organic (e.g. greenery, flowers, or pine cones)
5. Add lights
The takeaway: The key to creating a beautiful tablescape is having a plan and a little imagination.
