14 Dec Q&A WITH KTLA’S CHER CALVIN
Cher Calvin has the voice, the face and the fashion down pat. Her strong and confident demeanor is tempered by her smile and laugh. She anchors the 6pm, 10pm and 11pm news and after a decade of working at KTLA, she has become a familiar face in the L.A. market. Born and raised in New York City, this is a woman who doesn’t mince words and has the smarts to back it up. All in all, she is a woman with style and substance and I’m proud to call her my friend.
Q: What’s your on-air signature look? What are your favorite brands or places to shop?
A: My on-air signature look is Black Halo! The brand is my favorite because their dresses are structured modern and sleek… Plus the fit is just right for my body type.
Shopping: I love to shop for fun jewelry at Henri Bendel. For a casual look: anywhere from H&M to Bloomingdale’s
Q: What does your weekend wardrobe consist of and how is it different from when you’re on the clock?
A: my weekend wardrobe couldn’t be more different than my on-air wardrobe! I’m usually in jeans and a white top if it’s summer or jeans and black top in the winter. Very simple, very casual. My go-to is a lot of black… an LBD works day/night on the weekends.
Q: What are your top 5 products that you always keep in your makeup bag?
2) Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner, Black
3) Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation #5 and #3
4) Mac Eye Shadow in Taupe and Plum

Q: What advice can you give professional women who are looking to incorporate some of their personal style into their work wardrobe?
You can incorporate your personal style with accessories like jewelry, but don’t over do it. “Once you’ve dressed, and before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off,” wise words from Coco Chanel.
